What’s old is new again! Update lamps to fit your décor, using spray paint and a little ingenuity.
This lovely sideboard arrangement is the perfect home accent for spring. Download a printable copy of the verse hanging on the wall here, and give a pair of lamps new life with our easy instructions.

1. Select a couple of lamps and shades with pleasing lines as the base for your project. Clean off any dust or residue.

2. Tape off every other panel of the lamp shades with painters tape.

3. Cover a work surface in a well-ventilated area with a drop cloth. Apply spray paint to the lamps and shades according to manufacturer’s instructions. (We used Krylon Premium Metallic in Original Chrome.) Allow to dry.

4. Purchase or create ribbon roses to accent your shades. To make rosettes, choose wired ribbon, tie a knot in one end, and then twist and curl the ribbon to make a tight bud in the desired size. Glue to secure. Attach the roses to the shades using hot glue.
